The Office of Professional Development and Instructional Services provides the Williamsburg County School District's faculty, staff, and community stakeholders with ongoing professional development through training offered within the school district and outside entities. Professional Development often refers to skills required for maintaining a specific career path or activities that enhance professional career growth. The educational realm can be seen as the training needed to keep current with ever-changing technologies and practices that impact our students and educators as life-long learners. 

         Williamsburg County School District staff will actively participate in the collective learning process to engage in best practices that promote student achievement. Professional learning opportunities will focus on building relationships, standard-based instruction, and collaborative learning to determine priority areas for ongoing continuous improvement and professional development. All employees participate in district-level professional development sessions and early release days. School leadership teams work closely with district administration to design and plan school-level professional development opportunities.
