Welcome to the Williamsburg County School District

Williamsburg County School District has a long history of effectively educating children to be successful in their lifetime endeavors, with the mission to ensure a world-class education for all students by utilizing a rigorous, innovative curriculum that focuses on creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving.  

With approximately 3,000 students in two primary schools, three elementary schools, three middle schools, two high schools, one career center, one alternative school, and one flexible learning environment.  Williamsburg County School District employs over 500 full-time certified and classified employees and operates on an annual budget that exceeds $50 million dollars.   

Williamsburg County Schools offer a standards-based aligned curriculum to ensure that each student is academically challenged and performs beyond adequate in an environment where excellence is expected.

Williamsburg County School District is accredited by AdvancED Accreditation Commission, the national commission that confers the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI) accreditation seal.

The district and all schools were recognized for our commitment to excellence, our dedication, and openness to external review, and our desire to provide the best education possible to the students that we serve.
