United to Read Day

On Thursday, November 7, volunteers from Black River United Way, along with volunteers from Hemingway High School, read to students at Hemingway Elementary. Each volunteer was placed in a 5K, first, or second grade classroom to read a book, Grace for President by Kelly DiPucchio. The volunteers were escorted by some of HES's student leaders. Thank you to the volunteers for raising awareness of the importance of early literacy and celebrating reading!
