Williamsburg County School District provides school counseling services to all schools in the district through individual, group and classroom counseling sessions with emphasis in three main categories:
- Individual/Academic Planning
- System Support
- Career Development
Each school counseling program at each school focuses on developing the entire child by three counseling domains that have been specified by the state department. Every child needs social, academic and career balance that will lead to a more productive and successful life. WCSD School Counselors practices will align with these domains in the areas of:
- Learning to Live (Social/Emotional Development)
- Learning to Learn (Academic Development)
- Learning to Work (Career Development)
It is the goal of the each school counselor to provide consistent, professional and quality school counseling services to each student and work in a collaborative effort with parents, school staff and the community as well.
